News - 3 Jan 2017 - Trial scheme for 7 day access

We are pleased to report we are collaborating with neighbouring practices in Hayes (known as the Clover Health Network) to provide 7 day a week access to GP and nurse appointments. This is a special type of extended hours clinic where you will be seen at the HESA centre by a GP or nurse together with your full medical records just like at the practice. This will be for simple consultations accessible during evenings and weekends by appointment only. Please ask at the reception for further information and appointment availability. This scheme will be piloted throughout January 2017 and we hope will continue through the year.

From 25 August we will no longer accept faxed requests for repeat prescriptions from pharmacies. You are the best person who understands your health. It also greatly helps keep admin and medicines wastage to a minimum. One of the easiest ways to do this safely is online from a smartphone, tablet or web. Otherwise, you can of course continue to make written requests dropped off at the practices (or posted).

News - 1 April 2016 - Text Message reminders

Last year we tested a new text message system for appointment reminders. This system allowed patients to text the word CANCEL to automatically cancel their appointment. While this system worked in principle usage was very low and it was not cost effective to continue. We have therefore changed this to a simpler reminder system in which you can cancel using alternative methods (automated phone + online). Note that these systems only sends out reminders for routine doctor, nurse and healthcare assistant appointments booked more than 2 days in advance. It does not send out reminders for any other non-standard appointments.
